STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF PHARMACY, NOVI SAD, VISIT THE UNIVERSITY OF GREENWICH
Acquiring international experience is extremely important for career development and personal development and growth of students as future academic citizens. Students in Serbia still do not have enough opportunity to stay abroad while studying and thus expand their knowledge and experience.
In order to provide students with the opportunity to gain international experience and perspective, Faculty of Pharmacy, Novi Sad, in cooperation with Ass. Prof. Milan Antonijević, organized a visit to the University of Greenwich in Great Britain for students in the final year of studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Novi Sad.
Dr Milan Antonijević is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Novi Sad, teaching Pharmaceutical Analysis and Analytical Chemistry. At the same time, Dr Antonijević is a professor at the School of Science, Faculty of Engineering and Science, University of Greenwich, UK, where he is Head of the Master program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Under his mentorship, during a three-week stay at the University of Greenwich, UK, our students got the chance to do the practical i.e. experimental part of their diploma paper. They had the opportunity to work in an international team, and use a rich collection of books, journals and other resources available in the university library.
In addition to gaining work and academic experience, students had plenty of time to visit London and the surrounding area, as well as to establish new contacts and socialize with colleagues from around the world.
This program was attended by 12 students who successfully passed the selection process through a series of interviews. Undoubtedly, this was an invaluable experience for all of them.
