Doctoral studies last at least three years and are worth at least 180 ECTS points, provided that a student has previously completed undergraduate and master academic studies of at least five years and thus earned a minimum of 300 ECTS points. Doctoral dissertation is the final part of the study program of doctoral academic studies.

The academic title of a Doctor of Medical Sciences can be earned by someone who has completed medical studies followed by specialization in a particular area of interest, based on the written and defended doctoral dissertation and academic articles and/or studies published in top international journals.

ECTS points can be transferred between different study programs, in accordance with the criteria and conditions for ECTS point transfer, as prescribed by the general policy act of the University.
