UNIVERSITY BUSINESS ACADEMY PARTICIPATES IN IVAP 2025

We are pleased to announce that the University Business Academy in Novi Sad took part in the event Innovation Vision Action Plan – IVAP Workshop 2025 – Kraków, held within the EIT Higher Education Initiative (EIT HEI).

The event gathered nearly 400 participants from across Europe — representatives of higher education institutions, researchers, practitioners, industry representatives and policymakers — united by the common goal of strengthening universities’ capacities for innovation, fostering collaboration between academia and the business sector, and addressing global challenges such as digital transformation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. Through lectures, thematic sessions and workshops, participants discussed the key challenges of today — from digital transformation and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and sustainable development — with a particular focus on the role of universities in building resilient and innovative ecosystems.

The IVAP Workshop served as a platform for exchanging ideas, learning from the experiences of other HEI projects, and establishing new partnerships. The program included inspiring presentations, interactive workshops, networking sessions and panel discussions, with special emphasis on developing entrepreneurial and innovation capacities, strengthening university–industry collaboration, and planning strategic actions within new projects from Cohort 4 of the EIT HEI 2024–2025 Call.

On behalf of the University Business Academy, the event was attended by Tamara Krstić, Marketing Director, who presented the University’s activities and our contribution to the InnovaCyBridge project. Other present members of our project consortium were: Anitha Chinnaswamy from Aston University (United Kingdom), the leading partner and project coordinator of InnovaCyBridge; Vivien Surman from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary); and Sevi Touminen from A8 / Deep Tech Foundry (Malta). Their participation ensured strong representation of the project and enabled direct exchange of experiences with European colleagues.

The InnovaCyBridge project, implemented with the support of the EIT HEI initiative and EIT Urban Mobility, connects higher education institutions, industry and regional innovation ecosystems to strengthen digital resilience, enhance professional skills and create new opportunities for students and teaching staff. The project consortium consists of Aston University (United Kingdom) as coordinator, Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece), Twinnovation (Israel), Israel Innovation Institute (Israel), A8 / Deep Tech Foundry (Malta), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary), and the University Business Academy in Novi Sad (Serbia). This international team is developing modern educational modules and practical training programs in fields such as artificial intelligence in security, digital forensics, cryptography, cloud security, e-security and strategic cybersecurity management. All content is based on the CyBOK/CIBOK framework, with strong emphasis on experiential learning, interdisciplinarity and the application of knowledge in real-world settings.

The University Business Academy’s participation in this project represents an important step in strengthening the digital and innovation capacities of our academic community. The event in Kraków reaffirmed that collaboration, knowledge exchange and a shared vision are key drivers for advancing modern higher education and its impact on the wider community. The University Business Academy remains committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative and internationally connected educational environment that responds proactively to the needs of contemporary society and the labor market.
