HIS EXCELLENCY MR. BASEL SALAH, AMBASSADOR OF THE ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT TO SERBIA, VISITS THE UNIVERSITY BUSINESS ACADEMY IN NOVI SAD
His Excellency Mr. Basel Salah, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Serbia, visited the University Business Academy in Novi Sad on Thursday, April 18, 2024 , where he was ceremoniously welcomed by Prof. Dr. Dragan Soleša, Rector of the University Business Academy, Prof. Dr. Milan Počuča, Vice-Rector for Science at the University Business Academy, and Prof. Dr. Predrag Mirković, Dean of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, Prof. Dr. Sanja Škorić, Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, and Tamara Krstić, Marketing Director of the University Business Academy.
After the reception, His Excellency Mr. Basel Salah delivered a lecture in the amphitheater on the topic: "The Importance of Diplomacy in Modern International Relations," where he mentioned that it was assumed that the advent of the internet and the use of social media would render diplomacy and ambassadors unnecessary. "People are more informed than ever about global events through these social networks, but we see that diplomacy is still essential, especially considering the ongoing wars in the world", said His Excellency, Mr. Basel Salah.
Students actively participated in the lecture by asking questions, and professors also expressed their views on current international relations.
