
THIRD STUDY VISIT AS PART OF THE DUGEOR PROJECT
As part of the project "Strengthening capacities for the implementation of dual education in Georgia higher education - DUGEOR" in the period from November 29 to December 1, 2023, a study visit was organized by the University of Novi Sad and University Business Academy in Novi Sad. Participants of the study visit were representatives of FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (FH Joanneum Gesellschaft MBH), University of Cooperative Studies in Baden-Württemberg (Duale Hochschule Baden-Wurttemberg), The Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, University of Navigation in Batumi (Batumi Navigation Teaching University), Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Georgian Technical University, Vengo Group, Shumi Winery (Wine Company Shumi), Interlog (INTERLOGGEORGIA), Wilhelmsen Company in Georgia (Wilhelmsen Ships Service Georgia), Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and the National Forestry Agency.
On the first day of the visit the University of Novi Sad hosted the meeting of the Board of Directors. The second and third day of the visit were organized by University Business Academy in Novi Sad. On that occasion, participants were shown how the dual higher education in Serbia operates. Prof. Milan Počuča, Dean of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad and Vice-Rector for Science of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, wished all attendees a warm welcome.
DUGEOR is a “Category 3” capacity building project in Higher Education (CBHE), whose goal is to support the efforts of Georgia, as a third-world country that does not fully participate in the Erasmus program, to respond to socio-economic needs through the implementation of dual education within the higher education system and thus ensure structural improvement and innovation in the higher education sector.
