
STUDY TRIP WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE “DUGEOR” PROJECT
As part of the project "Strengthening the capacities for the implementation of dual education in the higher education system of Georgia - DUGEOR" in the period May 15 - 17, 2023, a study trip was organized by the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Graz. The study trip to Graz was the first study trip envisaged as part of the second work package of the project and was aimed at familiarizing the project participants with the organization and implementation of dual education in Austria. On that occasion, participants were shown how the teaching staff and students of the the FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences applied the program of dual higher education, and they also got acquainted with the work process in companies that are included in the aforementioned education system.
Prof. Marijana Mladenov, Ph.D, as Vice-Dean for International Cooperation at the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary in Novi Sad and Head of the Office for International Cooperation of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, took part in this study trip and represented the project team of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad.
DUGEOR is a “Category 3” capacity building project in higher education (CBHE) whose goal is to support the efforts of Georgia, as a third-world country that does not fully participate in the Erasmus program, to respond to socio-economic needs through the implementation of dual education within the higher education system and thus ensure structural improvement and innovation in the higher education sector.
