On 25 February 2016, the University Business Academy in Novi Sad organized a celebratory event of placing and uncovering a plaque honoring the Jean Monnet Module with an accompanying award of certificates to all attendees of the lectures held so far within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module "The Accession of Serbia to the European Union".

The European module is a project within the framework of the Jean Monnet sub-program and is an integral part of the Program for Lifelong Learning. The main objective of the Jean Monnet sub-program is to support teaching and research in the field of European integration studies at the level of higher education institutions within and outside the European Union. Our University Business Academy in Novi Sad received excellent reviews for this project entitled "The Accession of Serbia to the European Union", which has been approved and co-financed by the European Commission. Bearing in mind that this is the only project approved in the call Erasmus + Program/ Jean Monnet Activities Selection 2015 in the Republic of Serbia, this only reinforces the reputation and expertise of staff at the University Business Academy, in particular- Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management in the field of European integration studies. For all the previously mentioned facts, the University received a special an honorary plaque from the European Commission, which says that in the period from 2015 to 2018 the University Business Academy in Novi Sad will carry out activities within the Jean Monnet module that promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies. This plaque was uncovered by Prof. Dr. Marijana Carić, President of the University Council. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Marijana Carić expressed her great satisfaction in the fact that the University has once again shown that it is among the best higher education institutions. After that, Dr. Carić congratulated all participants on the awarded certificates.

What followed the uncovering of the honorary plaque was a ceremony of awarding certificates to attendees of educational activities carried out at the University. All participants were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management, prof. Dr. Dragan Soleša, who had only words of praise for the attendees who showed great interest in current issues. Project manager and person in charge of all Jean Monnet activities, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Medović, officially handed in the certificates to undergraduate students who attended the course on "Serbia's EU Accession" and media representatives who actively participated in the workshop entitled "The role of media in the process of Serbia's EU accession”
