The Day Of Argentina at The University Business Academy in Novi Sad

"The Day of Argentina" was a special event hosted at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad on 21 September, 2015, during which we could learn a lot about the culture, traditions, foreign relations of Argentina and, more specifically, diplomatic relations between Argentina and Serbia throughout history.

On this special occasion, known as "The Day of Argentina" at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad, His Excellency- Ambassador of Argentina, Mr. Ricardo Fernando Fernández opened the exhibition which presented 86 years of diplomatic relations between Argentina and Serbia, or more precisely- between Buenos Aires and Belgrade. The setting comprised 7 exhibits and a catalogue in which they were all presented .

For all interested attendees of this event, lectures were delivered in the study hall of the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad. The program was opened by prof. Dr. Marijana Caric, President of the Council of the University Business Academy in Novi Sad. Dr. Caric wished a warm welcome to the Amabassador and expressed deep gratitude for the fact that His Excellency, Mr. Fernández has chosen the University Business Academy in Novi Sad to organize and host such a beautiful and important event. After that, the Ambassador of Argentina- HE Mr. Fernado Ricardo Fernández welcomed everyone and thanked the organizers for their hospitality. In his speech, the Ambassador talked about the importance and development of diplomatic relations between Argentina and Serbia which already have an 86 year-long history, and invited all guests to see the exhibition. Following that, prof. Dr. Slobodan Pajović, gave a presentation of the book ''The International Community and the Malvinas Question", so that our students, professors and other guests could learn more about the problems connected with the Malvinas Islands through history as well as current developments in the dispute between Argentina and Great Britain on this issue. After the presentation of prof. Dr. Slobodan Pajović, the attendees of this special event were addressed by Silvia Monros, a prominent writer and author of translations of the most significant works of Latin American literature, who spoke on the topic entitled: ''The place of the Malvinas in Argentine literature''. Following the presentation, all participants had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in the discussion.

After the official part of the program, there was a cocktail party when all guests had the opportunity to enjoy refreshments while watching a unique exhibition.
