Ambassador of the United States delivers a lecture at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad
On February 18, 2015, Ambassador of the United States to Serbia, His Excellency Michael Kirby, delivered a lecture at the University Business Academy in Novi Sad for students of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management and Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.
The Ambassador was welcomed by Prof. Marijana Carić, PhD, Council President of the University Business Academy and Prof. Dragan Soleša, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Engineering Management. In a short conversation, they discussed the possibilities of future cooperation.
His Excellency, Ambassador Kirby, delivered a lecture entitled “New Partnership for Peace Program: Individual Partnership Action Plan”. Students of both faculties could learn more about the new stage of the Partnership for Peace program, as well as the planned activities for Serbia within this program. This individual action plan should be signed in March and Ambassador Kirby emphasized that even though Serbia is not a member of NATO, our country will have new opportunities to improve cooperation with it through this program. After the lecture, Ambassador gave numerous interesting answers to students’ questions.
Upon completion of the official part of the program, Prof. Marijana Carić and Prof. Dragan Soleša presented appropriate gifts to the Ambassador. In the end, Prof. Dragan Soleša expressed his wishes and expectations in terms of follow-up activities (student exchanges, research work and projects) for students of the University Business Academy.
