Special Lecture Series: His Excellency, Mr. Pertti Ikonen, the Ambassador of Finland to the Republic of Serbia gives a lecture on the topic: “One hundred years of the Finnish Republic”

We would like to use this opportunity to invite you to this week’s special lecture series, when our guest speaker will be HE Mr. Pertti Ikonen, the Ambassador of Finland to Serbia. The Ambassador will deliver a lecture on the topic "100 Years of the Finnish Republic" on October 18, 2017 in the study hall of the Faculty of Law for Commerce and Judiciary, starting at 11:00 a.m. The visit of the ambassador to the University of Novi Sad was organized in cooperation with the student organization ELSA.
His Excellency, Ambassador Pertti Ikonen completed law studies at the University of Helsinki, where he began his career at the Finnish Foreign Ministry first as a lawyer, and later as a Senior Program Officer at the International Financial Institutions Department. He served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Finland in Venezuela and as an Advisor at the Finnish Embassy in Estonia. He was Special Adviser to the State Vice-Secretary, and then Director of the Department for Development Policy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to his arrival in Serbia, he was the Coordinator of the Aid for Trade and Information Society in the Department for Development Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.
During the lecture, our students will have the opportunity to hear more about cooperation on projects between Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia with the Finnish Republic in the last 100 years.
